Modern Minimalist doesn't necessarily mean "get rid of all your stuff and get your life back." There's obviously a catch! This growing trend is focusing on QUALITY vs. QUANTITY. I can definitely see the appeal. The focus turns into a search for signature pieces. It takes us back to the elements I previously talked about in Design 101. In today's material world, this idea of minimalism is refreshing, thoughtful and brilliant. The best thing about a minimalist home - it's clutter free. You know what that means, a home that's easier to clean. Amen!

So how do you set out to create a minimalist home? It's simple as 1, 2, 3. First step -think neutral colors and clean cut lines. Next, pick out key signature pieces of furniture and decor. The final step - allow for more open space and natural light.
